This was the question I asked one day when I realized my favorite shoes, my 2013 Fire Red 3s, were in desperate need of repair. I looked everywhere, scouring Facebook groups and Instagram comment sections to find someone I could trust to get me right. Hours turned into days as my frustration mounted. For every person offering their services, there was someone else posting about scammers. I had never given anyone my shoes before--let alone my favorite shoes--and the thought of entrusting them to a random person's care terrified me.
That's when I thought...it doesn't have to be this way. Just as companies oversee the buying and selling process, someone could ensure that people can get their shoes fixed up or customized without the fear of getting screwed over. Just like that, TNKR was born.
